Richard Wagner-Orchestral Music-Berliner Philharmoniker cond. Herbert Von Karajan QUAD mix on DTS CD

Richard Wagner Orchestral Music - Berliner Philharmoniker cond. Herbert Von Karajan (1974)
DTS CD (cue + wav) | Channels: 4.0 | 44100Hz | 6 x 100 MB + 92 MB | Covers included
Genre: Classical | Source: SQ encoded CD | Label: EMI

A STUNNING SQ field on this mix. These engineers really knew how to do their stuff.
The Von Karajan sessions were legendary because the Maestro himself used to assist and produce these Quadraphonic mixdowns-he was VERY MUCH into Multichannel.

Track Listing:

1. The Mastersingers of Nuremberg-Prelude-Act 1
2. Tannhauser-Overture and Venusberg-Bacchanale Venusburg Music-Paris Version
3. Lohengrin- Prelude Act 1
4. Lohengrin- Prelude Act 3
5. The Flying Dutchman - Overture
6. Tristan und Isolde - Prelude and Liebestod

Ripped by kap'n krunch using the Audition CD ripper and decoded using Lucanu's script using the PhaseBug VST plugin in a very humble 44.1/16 resolution

WARNING; this will NOT play in a normal cd player-if you do, you can damage the speakers with the static that it will play-you have been warned!!!
YOU NEED A DTS DECODER WITH AT LEAST 4 LOUDSPEAKERS (LF, RF, LR , RR) to appreciate this CD.

Process: These SQ encoded cd's are decoded by a special process, a script in Adobe Audition, that extracts the surround channels from the stereo signal. Since this is a CD source , there is no point of making it into Hi Resolution since there is NO info above 20KHz, as opposed to LPs, which can go up to 40K. Even if it's lossy, these DTS 44/16 conversions sound GREAT and are a treat to listen to.
Maybe one day I'll grab this on LP and THEN make Hi- Res 4.0 DVD-A out of it….

You can burn this to a CD like a normal audio CD or play them back in your PC and Mac in VLC . (in Mac , also playable in itunes and DivX player)

Tip: Most modern receivers have basic dts decoding, especially and crucially, if you have a surround setup.

These 1970's Quad mixes were made for only four "Full Range" speakers, which differ from most today's systems consisting of 5 small/medium satellites and a subwoofer. If your system is like this , do not worry , since the bass management will make the low frequency information go to the subwoofer, (provided that you have it set up correctly!!!).

if you want to p2p it, please credit me, but
NO MIRRORS
