Katia and Marielle Labeque
Next to what I posted here, I found a recording on another site which claimed to contain Debussy’s complete works for piano
four-hands (by Stephen Coombs & Christopher Scott on the Helios label). You won’t be surprised to hear the contents of both albums differ significantly in some respects.
I’m not among the ranks of musical specialists, so I’ll leave it to them to speculate which works Debussy originally intended for this setting or which were transcribed later - by himself or others - or replaced with an orchestral version.
As for the details concerning the tracks on this Philips edition, you can read all about it in the booklet included in the archives.
More important to us, the Labeque sisters do a good job.
