Brautigam uses a copy of a 1795 fortepiano with spectacular results. The attack of this instrument is much more defined, (...). His tempos are fast, (...). Recording quality is superb, (...). I used to think Mozart's sonatas were sluggish and not of the same caliber of much of his other compositions (Haydn's sonatas seemed to sparkle in comparison). With this set, I have changed my mind... truly first class. (Amazon customer)

1795 fortepiano great stuff. A must hearing exercise for real musicians. Having an idea of what they've heard that time. If today we play on a Steinway, it's really awful to try on a 1798 piano "forte", forte piano is what we have nowadays, forte simply means "strong", Strong Piano.
Beethoven hated the pianos of his epoch. But, everything I've said is a proof that human ears are an "elastic" apparatus.

Perfect playing, stylistic right and the piano sound is more than perfect historically speaking.

ANNIS, you can't expect to be cured if you go to the doctor saying "I'm ill".
Download what? Which server? Any download manager?
Have you tried to put the string "unexpected rangeheader format: null" into google?

Thank you Bibixy for the music.
I am pleasantly surprised. The 1795 fortepiano gives out a different sound.
Very enjoyable.
