<b>What can I tell?</b>
Let me again say how new all of this is to me. I decided to take my girlfriend to something different, something special. so I found a performance of Carmen at Brighton theatre Royal (UK) and we went there. Never having seen or even listened to opera, it was all new to me.
I had the time of my life! Not only because the stage was filled with gorgeous women! The singing was incredible, being so close to a live orchestra was amazing … the whole experience washed over me and, I am now quite hooked!
I sought out some audio the following day and soon learned of Maria Callas and how she had the reputation of a real star in this area. I downloaded this show and yes, it lived up to expectation! However, the only copy of this online, which was all over the net, had a problem with a certain track being 'empty' and so one track was missing.
If you know anything about music, you will understand - this is no use!!!
Thankfully my local library stepped in at that point to save the day. I ordered the exact same set of 3 discs and they arrived a week later. So I bring them to you here, Ripped by me and checked etc.
I cannot stress how much I love this set. it is beautiful and, sure as the reviews tell, Maria Callas really is a star!
