Kingskin are a band that have been around for a while, and yet their potential has been no-where near explored. Their latest album, Slug, featuring future single releases and even a 7" vinyl release, completely sums up the band as they continue to build on their established grungey fan base. Their songs feature the husky, melodic vocals by Chris Lamb; stunning guitar solos by Jak Chantler; crazy, complex bass lines by Trevor Lynes; and are all finished brilliantly by drummer Russell Watts. Their tunes vary in speed and style, but still maintain the distinctive Kingskin style. Their renditions of the album songs in their live shows are breathtaking, commiting entirely to their onstage role and engadging the audience with every new track. Their stage presence, if even possible, outdoes their playing, adding a whole new layer to their music. 'Slug' is their first major album, and is only the start of Kingskin's inevitable success.
