Any "making of" documentary about a new Fleetwood Mac record is bound to feel a little anti-climactic. After all, their magnum opus Rumours was recorded against a backdrop of legendary relationship break-ups and even more legendary substance abuse.
Captured here in an 80-minute fly-on-the-wall film, the sessions for last year's Say You Will involved nothing more dramatic than endless squabbles over whether the LP was to be a double or not, which record company was going to release it, and who was doing the mixing.
Still, watching these toughened old survivors going about their creative and corporate business is curiously compelling, and it's certainly fun trying to predict when and why the prickly Lindsey Buckingham will blow up next.
