In making this album, a conscious decision was made by the band members to feature scores that were exclusively written for it and although a number of the charts featured here were written by the great Bob Florence & indeed are available on Bob's own albums the charts were actually done for this band first.A must for any Big Band collector.
The BBc Radio Big Band is regarded as one of the finest of it's type anywhere in the world, with an almost unequalled 'panache' and range of repertoire, the envy of Big Bands everywhere.
