New Wave

In the wake of critical acclaim following the release of "What Is It" on the Hollywood "Selma" label and the wild performances here in California and Arizona, Tupelo Chain Sex felt it was time to get back in the studio and record some more songs. The session was arranged for July 15, 1983, at Wizzard Studios, Hollywood.
While the band has always suspected music was supposed to be fun, it was the discovery of Slim Gaillard's music (from Tupelo Joe's vast collection of 78's) coupled with the timely introduction to Sugarcane Harris at a party at John Mayall's house, that confirmed their suspicions: music is fun! The results of which make up the nine tracks on this LP.
TCS runs on their first Long Player the gauntlet from jazz thru blues thru rockabilly to dub, trashing meter and meaning along the way, continually vamping and improvising on the theme, always enjoying themselves and most importantly, reflecting the times we live in. liner notes
