Roadie is a 1980 film directed by Alan Rudolph about a truck driver who becomes a roadie for a traveling rock and roll show. The film stars Meat Loaf and marks his first starring role in a film. There are also cameo appearances by musicians such as Roy Orbison, Hank Williams Jr., Blondie and Alice Cooper. The film was marketed with the tagline "Bands make it rock...Roadies make it roll." An amazing collection of songs & artists put together all in one place. One of the most significant additions to this album is the version of the Johnny Cash classic "Ring Of Fire" performed live by Blondie. Other songs appear in versions excusive to this soundtrack like the live version of "Crystal Ball" performed by Styx. "Road Rats" & "Pain" by Alice Cooper were special studio recordings that differ greatly from the versions found on the Alice Cooper albums. The production for this soundtrack was done very well. The frequency range is pure analog bliss. A very pleasurable listening experience. I have included full scans.
