Do you remember Simon & Garfunkel, the legendary folk duo? Well Paul Simon, has always been an innovator as far as music is concerned and in his masterpiece "Bridge over troubled water" is a sung version of an item or highland andean folklore "El Condor Pasa", here I realize the higher mind of this operator, in what cultural-, didn't use a band of their land to do that song, but got to the point and included a group of Andean music, for sure I don't know the exact history of how he came to group. Then when Simon broke up the duo, made his 1st. solo concert "Live rhymin'"… and included again in this band of andean folklore "Urubamba". I love the folklore of the plateau, as in Chile have great exponents, therefore I didn't pay more attention to "Urubamba" (such was the group.), in the same year 74, Garfunkel brings his solo LP "Angel Clare" and out came a wonderful song "Mary was an only child," why I bought the LP, which emphasizes an andean folk instrument: the "charango" (sound similar to the mandolin, but with strings plastic or gut), of the composers of the song appear Jorge Milchberg and Albert Hammond and guitar Paul Simon, it doesn't end here, with time on a radio station in my land, "blessed be", they were playing "El Condor Pasa", the live version of Simon and stuck to it, played an andean folk song, also performed live, the andean piece I recorded on a tape without knowing what was, for years together.
Later I learned that George Milchberg, the charango, was the leader of the band "Urubamba" who played with Simon in his show and his 1st. Solo LP. Listen "Duncan "- it doesn't end here, with this Internet and sharing, I met several times with the whole "Urubamba" until I downloaded it and… oh, surprise! In this album, which is a jewel-collection were two puzzle pieces of my music and life: "Mary was an only child" that this disc is called "The echoe" and that wonderful piece played live called "Kacharpari ". Listen and recognize the tremendous smell and hear the genius of Paul Simon.

Spanish.
