Gretchen Rossi is the youngest housewife to be cast on The Real Housewives of Orange County. She joined the Bravo docu-drama in season 4, replacing season 2 housewife Tammy Knickerbocker and season 3 cast member Quinn Fry. A native of La Crescenta, California, Rossi initially met the other housewives through Jeana Keough as she used to be employed as a real-estate agent. She then left the real-estate business after becoming engaged to a wealthy O.C. executive named Jeff Beitzel, who is 24 years her senior. Though Jeff, who was married and divorced several times, was not her type, she chose to nurse him after his diagnosis of acute leukemia, until his death on September 13, 2008. Gretchen has often been described as the blonde bombshell with a sparkling personality. Most housewives are rumored to be envious of her because she’s younger, sexy and she has real breasts –-something very few Orange County women have.
