Ruby-Jean Wilson was born in Scotland and raised in England but has lived in Terrigal, NSW since the age of 14. She started modelling locally in October 1999, before debuting on the international show circuit at Lacoste’s spring/summer 2010/11 show in New York in September 2010. In 2011, she was shot by Nicole Bentley in ‘New Season Hitlist’ for the February issue of Vogue Australia, starring alongside Alice Burdeu, Annaleise Smith, Codie Young, Iris Van Berne, Myf Shepherd and Samantha Harris. For the autumn/winter 2011 season, she walked for Theyskens’ Theory in New York and opened as an exclusive for Yves Saint Laurent in Paris. Later in 2011, she walked for Marchesa, Sophie Theallet, Marc Jacobs and Burberry, Jil Sander and Louis Vuitton and opened and closed for C’N’C Costume National. She is currently signed to Priscilla’s Model Management in Sydney, Ford Models in New York, Premier Model management in London and Elite Model management in Paris and London. Her favourite model is Agyness Deyn and in her spare time she enjoys going to op-shops and vintage stores, such as Camden Lock Markets in London.
