Pirelli Calendar 2014 Preview by Patrick Demarchelier and Peter Lindbergh

Pirelli’s exclusive 2014 calendar won’t be released until November. But to celebrate 50 years of beautiful naked women and truly ingenious tire company marketing, fashion photography linchpins Peter Lindberg and Patrick Demarchelier have been enlisted to preview shoot an all-star cast of supermodels in New York.

Miranda Kerr, Alessandra Ambrosio, Helena Christensen, Karolina Kurkova, Alek Wek and Isabeli Fontana are the faces and bodies of the teaser, which makes fabulous use of salt spray and wind machines and continues in the recent vein of being slightly less appealing to perves. It’s blithely sexy, or as Quote Master Lindberg might call it, Brazilian sexy, because sexy is a most horrible word to have in one’s vocabulary and connotes girls with “big hair and stupid faces”.
