Dune 2

One of the first RTS in history, it sets a lot of the most popular elements of RTS gender.

The history is simple: the Emperor proposed a challenge to the three Houses (Harkonnen, Atreides and Ordos) for the control of Arrakis, the Melange's planet (the base of the economy of the Universe), so each House will fight to the other two for the control of Arrakis. The player have little decision in the conquest map, he can only choose the region to attack between one to three and after the battle the rest of the map suffers changes (conquested regions of our House and looses too) but this is the only history line of the game, the truly game are the battles.

You have to fight nine battles to conquest Arrakis, fighting against the other two Houses and, later in the game, the Emperor himself and his elite troops, the Sardaukars.
