Sixteen simple MathematicalFormulae from the Vedas
(For One-line Answers to all Mathematical Problems)

The late Sankaracharya's epoch-making work on Vedic-Mathematics brings to the notice of the intelligentsia most strikingly a new theory and method, now almost unknown, of arriving at the truth of things which in this particular case concerns the truth of numbers and magnitude, but might as well cover, as it undoubtedly did in a past age in India, all sciences and arts, with results which do not fail to evoke a sense of awe and amazement today. The method obviously is radically differnt from the one adopted by the modern mind.
This book Vedic Mathematics deals mainly with various vedic mathematical formulae and their applications for carrying out tedious and cumbersome arithmetical operations, and to a very large extent, executing them mentally. In this field of mental arithmetical operations the works of the famous mathematicians Trachtenberg and Lester Meyers (High Speed Maths) are elementary compared to that of Jagadguruji.

Thank you mkzzz for the kind comment and the link to the website.
This is a 300 dpi scan and the OCR was done only to reduce the size of file. Eventhough it will be terrible if you want to copy text from it, it is quite good for reading and print out. If you have time please do a good OCR which is very difficult with equations and devanagari script.
I have seen the web site, this books contents are not available fully in that site. Many pages there are scanned images with only screen resolution (72dpi) which is not good for printout.
Please do a good OCR and post it instead of complaining. Thank You.

Did you know that Veda is the oldest book ever written on earth.

Veda has got something for everyone. The book which even mentioned
about primitive ways of surgery.

It is over 4000 years old (much older than Homer's Illiad).

Trouble is, the "Vedic Math" is not Vedic nor math. You can get to make some fast calculations, but math is more than doing fast calculations. It's a relatively modern work of an indian guru (1800-something), and it's only relation to the venerable Vedas is in it's name...
