This book is the beginning of what promises to be an exciting, nerve-jangling journey through the land of the living dead. The scares deliver right from the start but there's a surprising amount of heart here, too. These aren't cardboard cutout characters in the same old zombie-fighting scenarios. This book really gives you a feel for what it would be like if America had to deal with the constant threat of the zombie flu! The writer has done some good research because everything seemed pretty plausible to me. If you're in the mood for a smart, edgy dystopian tale, expect to be hooked.
