Ben Macintyre, Cara Shores, "Forgotten Fatherland: The Search for Elisabeth Nietzsche"
ISBN: 140883815X, 0374157596 | 2013 | EPUB/MOBI | 320 pages | 4 MB/4 MB
This book is about the founding of a proto-Nazi colony in the Paraguayan jungle that still survives today. It is the remains of a colonial racial experiment carried out by Elizabeth Nietzsche, sister of the famous philosopher, Frederich Nietzsche. Its inhabitants are German Lutherans, blond-haired, blue-eyed; its streets bear names like Goebbelsstrasse. "Forgotten Fatherland" is a travel book as well as a biography that chronicles the history of the colony, and examines the life and influence of the woman who was Hitler's mentor and her brother's self-appointed literary executor, who ruthlessly expunged from Nietzsche's work anything that did not concur with her own beliefs.
