Culinary alchemist Heston Blumenthal brings back the wonder and excitement of childhood food, awakening the kid in every viewer as he builds the world's largest 99 Flake, makes a packed lunch of giant KitKats, and a record breaking bag of Hula Hoops. Heston creates a whole pub inside a pie and a giant pyramid tea bag, served in a suitably enormous teapot. He also rejoices in all that is magical about Christmas treats with Britain's biggest Christmas pudding, edible tree decorations, and a snow globe and snowball cocktail.
Episode 1: Heston creates an enormous Full breakfast, a giant boiled egg filled with mango and a breakfast on a steam train for commuters.

Episode 2: Heston focuses on the ice cream van, a great British tradition that provided the soundtrack to so many childhoods, and the frozen treats every kid dreams of. But this wonderful British institution is in danger of extinction. In the 1970s around 25,000 ice cream vans were on the roads - these days there are less than 5000. To help kickstart a revival Heston plans to build the world's biggest ever 99 Flake, over five metres tall and weighing more than a ton, and serve it from the back of his own very special van to the town of Gloucester. He visits Walls and has Europe's biggest ice cream factory at his disposal. To make his chocolate flake he ropes in the experts behind the Olympic stadium. Heston also turns the classic flavours of Twister, Cornetto, Feast and Calippo into paint balls that can be fired from specially designed cannons.

Episode 3: Heston celebrates the tea break on such a massive scale that a whole town is brought together for a very special brew. Tea and biscuits are still a staple of the nation, with 185 million cups washed down every day and nearly 90% of tea drinkers liking to dunk. But the tea break to go with it has died a death. Heston wants to bring it back to life and takes on the challenge of creating the world's biggest packet of biscuits, enough to feed a whole town, that is one metre in diameter and combines the chocolate Digestive, HobNob and Gingernut biscuit with salted caramel and pockets of chocolate ganache. Then Heston's next engineering challenge is to create the world's largest pyramid tea bag. He concocts a drink containing the flavours of cucumber sandwiches and Victoria sponge cake. The Lancashire town of Darwin takes center stage for Heston's tea break, featuring a five-metre-high teapot.

Episode 4: Heston celebrates the greatest pleasure of childhood - sweets - by making his own Willy Wonka inspired giant sweet shop. There is no doubt Brits have a sweet tooth but when it comes to adult life, the magic surrounding the enjoyment of sugary treats has disappeared. Heston recalls the utter joy he felt from seeing the endless jars of sweet shop confectionery and the tough decision of how to spend his pocket money, and wants to bring this kind of excitement back - on a massive scale.

Episode 5: Heston tries to rekindle our love for the traditional pub food. For centuries local taverns have provided a wondrous mix of good times, hearty grub and beer that's famous the world over. But pubs appear to be in decline, with around 18 locals a week shutting their doors for good. Heston plans to put the fun back into old-fashioned pub grub - to build a giant edible pie and transform it into a fully functioning public house in the Welsh village of Minera. Heston makes a billiard table from cod, tartare sauce and pea mousse all topped with a crumbled crisp and green watercress extract. The edible table is finished with pickled egg billiard balls dipped in a tomato and cardamom gel.

Episode 6: Heston celebrates the packed lunch by creating a larger-than-life experience for people bored by the drudgery of monotonous lunchtimes. By filling an entire theme park with nostalgic packed lunch favourites and inviting disillusioned lunchers on a surprise school trip, Heston brings back the fun and excitement to lunchtime on an epic scale. Heston kicks off his monster mission by constructing a super-sized sandwich big enough to feed a coachload of hungry adults. With unexpected 'rogue' fillings and syringes packed with injectable condiments, it's a sandwich like no other. Heston summons the help of the Hula Hoops factory to create the world's biggest crisps - with a packet so large it's only accessible by ladder, and crisps big enough to fit on your head.
