Contemporary Cephalometric Radiography

This work deals with current dental techniques in cephalometric radiography.
This textbook is a sequel to the previous book, “An Atlas of Roentgen Anatomy and Cephalometric Analyses”, published in Japanese. Since its publication in 1986, not only have many academic institutions, clinicians and residents used the book, but also undergraduate students. Since 1986, during lectures on the subject of roentgen anatomy and tracing procedures that I have given for the doctors and residents at the Section of Orthodontics at the University of California, Los Angeles, I received many constructive suggestions. As a result, both the illustrations and content were altered through the cooperation of the UCLA faculty. They asked me to publish an English edition and gave me much useful advice. First of all, I wish to gratefully acknowledge the kind cooperation and assistance of Professor Emeritus Andrew D. Dixion. Even though he was a Dean and a very busy person, he spent a great deal of his time checking and correcting every sentence and figure and advised me about many aspects of the preparation of the book. I am very happy to acknowledge his help. It would have been impossible for me to publish this book without him. Professor Emeritus Spiro Chaconas has taken care of me since I first went to UCLA. He gave me the opportunity to teach cephalometric roentgen anatomy to the orthodontic residents there and advised me on many aspects of cephalometrics and the content of my lectures.
