Over the Rainbow: Developments in Exotic Options and Complex Swaps (Repost)

Robert A. Jarrow, "Over the Rainbow: Developments in Exotic Options and Complex Swaps"
1996 | pages: 343 | ISBN: 1899332359, 1899332308 | CHM | 4,6 mb

Since 1992, when RISK published its first collection of articles about options, From Black-Scholes to Black Holes, the scope and complexity of the global options market has increased enormously. In addition, we have all become much more aware of the need for an "informed citizenry" in this critical area of capital markets. With the aim of describing the advances in option theory and risk management that underpin the recent market growth, this second volume from RISK brings together over 50 significant articles published up until July 1995.

At FCMC, we felt it was important to support the publication of Over the Rainbow because of the quality of the articles. The writers collected here represent a cross-section of the finest minds in options research today.

Perhaps the most important feature of this book is the clarity of the writing. While option researchers and traders whose stock-in-trade is directly addressed will find this collection fascinating, senior managers and support staff who are not necessarily familiar with equations will find it equally interesting and accessible. They will be able to grasp many of the fundamental problems of applying options theory to market reality, and will gain a much better understanding of the major issues in options risk management. Institutions dealing in risk management products need to encourage a depth of understanding throughout their organisations, not just in their "front-office" staff.
