For the last few years, Professor Peter Wiles and I have been jointly giving a course on Marxian Economics. Whereas he deals with the young Marx and the analysis of full communism, I concentrate on Marx's critique of capitalism. This book is an extended and revised version of my contribution to that course.
Many students have advanced my understanding of Marx and taught me to rethink old ideas. I am grateful to E. Akat, Dada Yaffe, Stephen Lord, Peter Nore and Nat Levy among others.
