Army Badges and Insignia of World War II

Army Badges and Insignia of World War II By Guido Rosignoli
Publisher: Blandford Press 1972 | 223 Pages | ISBN: 0713705760 | PDF | 29 MB

During the last decade I have noticed an increasing interest in military matters; an interest that is growing all over the world. I have also found that in every country the collector concentrates upon the militaria of his own national armed forces and upon that of one foreign army whose exploits have particularly fascinated the popular imagination. The latter, in most cases, is the Nazi German Army. As, unfortunately, very little contact exists among collectors of different nationalities, there is limited common knowledge about each other's collections. This lack of knowledge often prevents the collector from extending his interest to the many iinfamiliar bargains displayed on the stalls of our local markets. In this book I hope to widen the scope of the collector, and have illustrated and described the badges worn during World War 2 by the armies of seven countries who were major combatants. The order in which they appear has been solely established by the availability of information and partly by printing necessities.
