The Birth of the Pill: How Four Crusaders Reinvented Sex and Launched a Revolution

Jonathan Eig "The Birth of the Pill: How Four Crusaders Reinvented Sex and Launched a Revolution"
W. W. Norton & Company | English | October 13, 2014 | ISBN: 0393073726 | 400 pages | azw, epub, lrf, mobi | 5,8 mb

This is an excellent, well-rounded book. In looking at the development of the oral contraceptive pill, "The Pill,” author Jonathan Eig covers the political and social atmosphere of the era. He also delves into the backgrounds and lives of the major players. While there is not a lot of science in the book, what there is, is well explained. This isn’t predominantly a book about science, it is about history. Eig’s overall tone is conversational and the book should be accessible to those with no science background. I strongly recommend this book to anyone interested in the history of science.
