is the name of a comic book series starring Spider-Man published by Marvel Comics for 129 issues between 1985 and 1995. It replaced Marvel Team-Up as the third major Spider-Man title of the time. After #129 in October 1995, the title was renamed and started again at #1. After four issues of , the series was cancelled to make way for the new title. In October 14, 2009, relaunched with issue one having a Kaine centered story written by J.M. DeMatteis, as well as a Spider-Girl story by Tom DeFalco with art by Ron Frenz and still another bonus story. The primary focus of the series is on telling unknown pieces of the origins of the classic Spider-villains showing up in the new storyline "The Gauntlet", definitely separates this title from its parent title . Issue #4 deals with the origin of Mysterio. These are big, double-sized comics, with another bonus Spider-Girl story plus a story on Hammerhead that ties in with "The Gauntlet." A Minutemen scan.
