I, Zombie #1-7 (Ongoing, Update)
7 CBR's | Vertigo (DC) | Release Dates May - Nov 3 2010 | 128.11 MB Total

Told from a female zombie’s perspective, the relatively new monthly comic book series, is a smart, witty detective series with a mix of urban fantasy and romantic "dramedy." Gwendolyn “Gwen” Dylan is a 20-something gravedigger in an eco-friendly cemetery. Once a month she must eat a human brain to keep from losing her memories, but in the process she becomes consumed with the thoughts and personality of the dead person until she eats the next brain. She sets out to fulfill the dead person’s last request, solve a crime, or right a wrong. Our zombie girl detective is joined by a radical supporting cast: her best friend Eleanor who happens to be a swinging 60s ghost; a posse of vampires who play paintball; a smitten weredog, and a sexy but demented mummy. In other words, this series doesn't seem to take itself too seriously. Kudos to the creative team of Chris Roberson and Michael Allred. Though zombie comics is an overly-saturated market at the moment, Vertigo has already proved that it will dare to take on an overdone genre (like they did with vampires in the stellar American Vampire) and completely turn it on its head, making everything else pale in comparison. Issues #1-6 are packed in a single-download RAR archive; issues #3 and 4 are DCP scans while the rest (save for the curent issue #7) are Minutemen scans. Dynamite covers by Mike Allred and Darwyn Cooke. By the way, for those who would like to know and who are interested, Vertigo published a 7-page prequel to this series in the (click) I previously posted in Avaxhome. Check it out.
