Green Lantern Vol. 4 #1-60 Complete and Current (Ongoing, Update)
CBR & CBZ (Sorted By Story Arc) | DC Comics | July 2005 - Dec 15 2010 | 1.054 GB Total

I like Green Lantern. I suppose it's because along with Batman and Superman, it was the only other DC title I was exposed to as an impressionable child. Because of my Papa, I was immersed in later Silver Age Marvel comics. One other reason why I like Green Lantern is because of the concept of a power ring that gives the user great control over the physical world as long as the wielder has sufficient willpower and strength to wield it. Even though the possessor was already carefully selected for his/her worthiness, ultimately the choice of whether to use such power for good or evil rests upon whoever has the ring, a concept that is repeated in myriad forms over the years in literature, and throughout man's history. So here is the compiled Volume 4 of the continuing Green Lantern saga from issue #1 thereof released July 2005 up to the latest issue #60 released December 15, 2010. Issue #43 up to the current issue #60 are all high-quality Minutemen scans, and all with multiple covers. For ease of upload--and download--I have sorted the volume 4 issues into their chronological story arcs and archived each story arc as RAR files. Each RAR file is named in ordinal sequence as you may note in the links below and the issue numbers and story arc titles are likewise included in the RAR filenames. Issue #1 of Volume 4 is entitled, "No Fear", and continues from the six-issue limited series "Rebirth" (Dec 2004 - May 2005; a prequel story was published in Wizard Magazine as issue #0) that re-established former Spectre host Hal Jordan as Green Lantern. Issues #21-25 form part of the crossover story arc "Sinestro Corps War" and is tied in to the 2007 one-shot special, . Issues #26-28 form the 3-part "Alpha Lantern" story arc, which is actually the epilogue to the "Sinestro Corps War." I was planning to post this next story arc only to realize all of it is in this compilation: "Green Lantern:Secret Origin." "Secret Origin" is the comic book story arc for issues #29-35. Written by Geoff Johns and penciled by Ivan Reis, the story retells--and reboots--the origin of Earth's first Green Lantern Corps member Hal Jordan for the New Earth continuity. As important to the current Green lantern continuity as the "Green lantern: Rebirth" limited series, it featured Abin Sur, Sinestro as a Green Lantern, the new character Atrocitus of the Five Inversions, and served as one of many preludes to the "Blackest Night" story line. Issues #36-38 are part of a crossover, which is tied in to the 2008 one-shot special, . Next is the 4-part "AGent Orange" story arc, the last 2 parts of which serve as the official prelude to the "Blackest Night" event. Issue #43 starts the "Blackest Night" storyline with the prologue, "Tale of the Black Lantern." Issues #43-52, ten in all, comprise the portion where the Green Lantern title crosses over with the Blackest Night event. These issues also form part of a longer crossover, "The War of Light." As per the DC Comic Book database, " 'The War of Light' is a multi-year saga in the Green Lantern family of titles, exploring, but not limited to the introduction of other Lantern Corps. Beginning with prologue , it includes many sub-storylines, such as the , , , , and . The story ended with the company wide crossover event, the 'Blackest Night.' " Issues #53-56 comprise "The New Guardians" story arc, which is directly tied in, and an integral part of, the new and still ongoing "Brightest Day" crossover event. All these story arcs of Volume 4, 12 in all, are each packed in discrete RAR archives. Note that I divided the 10-issue Blackest Night story arc into two but still discrete RAR archives, and named them Parts A and B. Issues #57 through #60, still part of "Brightest Day" were uploaded as individual issues. Also included in this compilation are the two special one-shots, and . My reference for this compilation is the online Comic Book Database, specifically this page: http://www.comicbookdb.com/title.php?ID=32, and the DC Comics database, particularly this page: http://dc.wikia.com/wiki/Green_Lantern_Vol_4. I hope you get to enjoy this (henceforth ongoing) compilation as much as I did.
BRIGHTEST DAY continues as the truth about the Indigo Tribe members is revealed along with their Entity: the enigmatic Proselyte. --
