DC Holiday Special 2009 #1 (One-Shot)

"Schmaltzy, over-the-top, and... so, you know, Christmasy." That's some reviewer's take on DC Comics' apparently now-traditional annual anthology special on the DC Universe superheroes' midwinter holiday (mostly Christmas) activities. I'd say that's from a cynical and jaded person who's had more than his share of misfortune this past year, because this is quite a nice collection of artfully drawn stories, with only a couple of bad ones. And with sixteen stories at more than 70 pages it's like having two specials in one. So Holiday Wishes, one and all!

It's that time of year! You can't miss your favorite characters bringing good cheer to all. Even Deadman and B'wana Beast find ways to celebrate the spirit of the season!
