Battlefields: Vol. 1 Complete And Battlefields: Happy Valley #1-8 (Of 9) Update

is a comic book metaseries written by Garth Ennis, comprising three mini-series, each illustrated by a different artist and published by Dynamite Entertainment. The completed Volume 1 thereof is divided into three self-contained mini-series of three issues each, all of which are set during WWII: the first mini-series, with artist Russell Braun, titled is set on the Eastern front and concerns a women-only Soviet bomber regiment; the second series, with artist Peter Snejbjerg, titled concerns a British nurse, who had survived rape and attempted execution by Japanese soldiers in Singapore, and her relationship with a decorated flying ace; and the third series is with artist Carlos Ezquerra, and is about an inexperienced British tank crew of Londoners in a Churchil Tank led by a Geordie veteran as they attempt to catch up with their company, enduring attacks by Nazi Tiger tanks as the Battle of Normandy rages on. A second volume of Battlefields was published in 2010 with a similar format, with two storylines being sequels to and . The other, , is also the first of these to be published, with art by P. J. Holden. As is typical of one aspect of Ennis' work, stark, granular and searing commentaries on war and its effects on the human condition. All high-quality Minutemen scans. I should point out to clear any confusion that Dynamite is trying something different by publishing three three-issue mini-series as one nine-issue series. Volume 2 of Battlefields is simply entitled "Battlefields" numbered from #1 through #9 and divided into 3 three-part storylines. The first storyline, separately titled "Battlefields: Happy Valley" is divided into a 3-part mini-series which in turn comprises the first three issues of the 9-part Volume 2 of Battlefields. focuses on a bomber crew assigned to a squadron whose mission is to carry the war deep into the heart of Nazi Germany, in 1942. The next storyline, comprising issues #4-6 of Battlefields Volume 2, is the three-part mini-series entitled, "The Firefly and His Majesty." It is a sequel of sorts to once again focusing on the tank warfare of World War II, this time with a new British tank and even more advanced German tanks belonging to a unit low on supplies, including fuel. The last storyline, comprising issues #7-9 of Battlefields Volume 2, is the 3-part mini-series entitled, "Motherland." It serves as the sequel to , as Lieutenant Anna Kharkova of the erstwhile women-only Soviet bomber regiment is posted to a single-seat fighter aircraft and sent straight into action. Battlefields Volume 2 is set to end with the release of issue #9 this August 2010. Following the metaseries' format, I packed each of the three miniseries of Volume 1 into three single-download RAR archives. The first eight issues of Volume 2 however remain as individual comic book files (CBR or CBZ).
