Batman: The War Games Saga Compilation (Complete)

is a comics story arc published by DC Comics between October 2004 and January 2005. It appeared in all the DC titles set in and around Gotham City: , and . In addition, the prelude was published separately as the one-shot . War Games deals with the frightening and gripping circumstance of an all-out gang war in Gotham City and how Batman deals with it and how Batman's life and future will forever be affected by it. The War Games proper story arc has been divided into three acts, entitled respectively, "Outbreak", "Tides and "Endgame." However, it is actually just the mid-portion of the greater War Games saga; it is directly preceded by the story arc which serves, as the title suggests, as the prelude to War Games, and it is followed immediately by the story arc which is an "epi-sequel" to War Games proper. All three story arcs, and have been collected and published as trade paperbacks (TPB). being too long was published as three separate TPB's each consisting of the three acts mentioned, and titled as such. I have looked for all TPB's but unfortunately not all have been scanned. The next best thing of course is to have a compilation of all the individual comic book issues that comprise the saga and this is what I have. This compilation could have been composed of 43 comic books in the CBR format; however, I deemed it best to post the actual TPB scan of which makes a single CBR instead of its individual comic books (which number ten in all). All the rest are individual CBR's that I packed into RAR archives according to story arc. It makes for easier reading (as regards ) and easier and more convenient downloads for everyone (and upload on my part, of course). The TPB (ISBN-10: 1401203418) consists of 256 pages and collects and . It was published on October, 2004 by DC Comics. itself was published in March of 2004. The War Games proper prelude one-shot with the content title "War Games Prelude: No Help" was released on October 2004 together with part 1 of Act 1, . The DC comics database (dc.wikia.com) lists only eight parts to War Games Act Three but many lists and suggested reading orders among various forums including Wikipedia list two more: and , both of which collectively serve as epilogue to the War Games proper story arc. I have included them here. Likewise, the DC comics database lists only four parts to the last story arc War Crimes but again, many other lists among the forums including Wikipedia add two more: the published July 2005 and published August 2005. Both are one-shots and deal with the aftermath of the War Games saga in the Batman continuity--such as what really happened to () Stephanie Brown who will later become the current Batgirl. Both are naturally included in this compilation.
