Avengers/Invaders #11 (Of 12)

is an ongoing 12-issue maxi-series published by Marvel that returns the young WW2 Captain America (Steve Rogers) to modern continuity, along with the other four original Invaders created in 1940s: Human Torch, Toro, Bucky, and Namor. They appear in the mainstream Marvel Universe of the present, at the height of their powers and popularity, as they were in 1942, to encounter both the New Avengers and Mighty Avengers, plus certain characters who have been in the Avengers in the past. The series launched on May 7th 2008.

On the other side of history, chaos reigns. Evil has won and the Fourth Reich now rules the world. Only the combined might of the Avengers, The Invaders and the mysterious new heroes Electro, The Challenger, The Silver Scorpion, The Black Widow, the Black Avenger and Captain Terror have a hope of setting the world right. --
