His halting, eccentric style seems well suited to the story's main character, Abel, a naive man whose sense of innocence leads him to become a party to evil. With his slightly cross- eyed gaze of wonderment mixed with ferocious intensity, Malkovich makes Abel both childlike and frightening.
As a boy in a brutal Roman Catholic boarding school in France, Abel comes to believe that he has magical powers after he makes a demonic wish that his school would catch fire, and it does.
The notion that he is a ``magical creature'' sustains Abel as an adult. With benign sincerity, he is unperturbed by the swirl of events he experiences. His inexplicable affinity for children underscores his belief that he has special powers.

If you have already seen it and love it, well, go see it again!
This is still the best fantasy film ever made. Even better than contemporary Lord of The Rings.

Crime, Drama, Fantasy | 729 mb |110 min | Divx 640x325 | 160 kbps Lame Mp3 | 25 fps | English | sub: Polish

Naked Lunch seems to be just totally incomprehensible upon first viewing. However, after watching it again, you start to understand more and more. Upon multiple viewings, you really get a feel for what's transpiring before your eyes. The ultimate message is that it is really just a metaphor for heroin addiction, even though it's so much more deeper than that. It's an intricate study of a man, William S. Burroughs, who was a heroin addict, and among other things one of the most significant Beat authors ever. The film delves deeply into the psyche of Burroughs and takes you on a trip in his mind and your own. There are touches of reality and many flashes of paranoia, and it is all done with style and grace. Seriously one of the best films about an author, Naked Lunch will certainly stand the test of time against other films which may seem at first entertaining, but lose their luster upon multiple viewings.

With the ultimate throw-down, "There can be only one," Highlander captured the imaginations of fantasy fans seeking a well-executed swordplay epic, becoming a cult classic in the process. Connor MacLeod (Christopher Lambert) is one of a waning few survivors of a clan of immortals. The breed have been dueling each other for centuries in the quest to be the last one remaining, and hence achieve a supreme enlightenment that would be dangerous in the wrong hands. The immortals can only die by decapitation, so they hunt each other through time and across continents to meet for each decisive duel, which will bring one of them a step closer to ultimate power. In present-day America, the troubled hero MacLeod lives a brooding and lonely existence, having lost his true love centuries ago. The evil Kurgan (Clancy Brown), an immortal who plans to use his power toward unspeakable ends, has fought MacLeod before but is still trying to finish him off. After emerging victorious from a parking garage skirmish with the third-to-last immortal, MacLeod knows that only Kurgan is left, and the two are on a collision path toward the inevitable. In the film's numerous flashbacks to the past, Sean Connery plays Ramirez, the immortal who first tutors MacLeod after the hero survives a mortal battle wound, prompting his fearful village to banish him. Roxanne Hart plays MacLeod's modern-day love interest, who tries to help him while struggling to believe his incredible story.

Drama, Comedy | 700 + 652 mb | Xvid 512x280 | 127 kbps lame mp3 | 108 min | 25 fps | Spanish | +additionally Polish sub| Rapidshare

A new farrago from Pedro Almodóvar-as outrageous as his previous efforts, but without the suavity. Verónica Forqué plays Kika, a makeup artist whose life is complicated by a lesbian maid, a brooding lover, the lesbian maid's delinquent brother (who used to be a porno star), and the brooding lover's American stepfather (who may or may not be a murderer). Almodóvar shuffles them around in various combinations, but his career as a shock merchant is running out of steam; the movie feels hammy and strained, and the details are chucked in your face. Almodóvar has devised a subplot, starring Victoria Abril, which is meant to attack the emotional greed of television, but he succeeds only in drawing attention to his own failings; sensitive souls may not want to hang around to see out the prolonged rape scene. Almodóvar's palette of colors is as bright and warming as ever, but what he paints with it leaves you cold. In Spanish.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas

« Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas » (1998) Director:Terry Gilliam
Comedy, Drama | 734 mb | Divx 640x272 | 800 kbps lame mp3 | 118 min | 23 fps | English | +additionally Polish and Eng sub| Rapidshare

« Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas » is a twisted, outlandish venture into the mind of a warped junkie, a reporter who is traveling to Nevada in order to cover a Hells Angels motorcycle race, along with his Samoan attorney Dr. Gonzo (Benicio Del Toro, who gained forty pounds for his role). "We were somewhere around Barstow when the drugs began to take hold," is the line that opens the movie in an expeditious manner, as a red convertible roars from right to left, in the direction of Las Vegas. The vehicle's trunk is packed with an abundance of deadly drugs. "We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multicolored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers. Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether, two dozen amyls."

The narrator of the story is Raoul Duke (played by Johnny Depp), a balding, stumbling shell of a man, constantly smoking or inhaling drugs, his body overloaded with deadly substances. He is in a permanent daze throughout the entire film, constantly consuming drugs every time the camera pans onto him. He is also the reporter, the main character of the film, and he is in such a daze that after the motorcycle race is over, he's not even sure who has won. So sitting cramped in his increasingly trashed hotel apartment, he begins clacking away mumbo-jumbo on his typewriter, desperately trying to make sense of the seemingly frenzied world surrounding him.

«Spider» is a deftly drawn character study of a schizophrenic who relives his past when he returns to the area where he grew up. Ralph Fiennes lives inside his visions and memories. David Cronenberg is careful to set us inside Spider's point of view, never overtly mentioning mental illness.
Cronenberg's movies always focus on different aspects of sexual psychology and in 'Spider' Ralph Fiennes's character suffers from jealousy of his father's role in the family. Spider's love for his mother eventually makes him see her in all women, his father's mistress, his landlady, even a pair of photos featuring a pair of topless models. As a consequence Miranda Richardson plays a number of roles within the film, ever present in most of the female characters. Cronenberg also intensifies Spider's isolation on screen by having him walk London streets that are almost totally empty of people and automobiles.
